Shelbourne snap up Stephen Brennan
05/03/2005 - 12:33:45Shelbourne have snapped up Republic of Ireland Under-21 defender Stephen Brennan from Newcastle United.
The 21-year-old defender has signed a four-month loan deal and will assess his options during the July transfer window. Brennan is keen on returning to England and hopes that an offer will come along when clubs begin pre-season training.
Shelbourne have tracked the defender for some time now as they see him as ideal competition for Owen Heary at right back – the one position on the field where Shelbourne’s squad was not covered.
