Cork prepares for magical music in March
03/03/2005 - 15:41:35Cork will play host to over 120 musicians and singers from all corners of Europe throughout the month of March 2005 as part of European Capital of Culture celebrations.
The Music Migrations series launches with A Continent Undivided (March 11 to March 30 ), a taster of the diverse music and cultures of Europe in 2005 featuring six headline concerts, more than 120 artists and bands from over 15 countries, most of them making their Cork debuts.
This includes everything from gypsy brass from Macedonia to the Bulgarian women’s choir.
The series opens with Sounds of the Balkans on March 11 at the Cork Opera House.
