St Pat’s sign Holt from Monaghan
02/03/2005 - 10:31:10St Patrick’s Athletic have signed former Republic of Ireland Under 21 midfielder Stuart Holt from Monaghan United.
The midfielder makes the move to Richmond Park just three days before the transfer window shuts as he hopes to prove once again his qualities in the Premier Division after a season in the First Division with Monaghan United.
Formerly with Shamrock Rovers and Longford Town, Holt shot to prominence two seasons ago when called into the Republic of Ireland Under 21 squad by Don Givens.
“Two years ago I was in the Irish Under 21 squad and playing in the Premier Division and I want to get back to that standard,” said Holt.
