Gaffney to be given new deal
A decision is expected in the next 24 hours about Alan Gaffney’s future as Munster coach, according to the Evening Echo.
It’s anticipated he will be offered a new contract, ending speculation linking him to the Australia number two role.
Should discussions break down it’s understood Munster will look to Connacht coach Michael Bradley to take over.
The former Cork Con, Munster and Ireland scrum-half has worked wonders with Connacht.
Another name linked to the position, should it become available, is current Shannon coach Mick Galwey.
IRFU policy is geared towards having Irish coaches in charge at the four provinces.
Meanwhile, tickets for the Heineken Cup game with Biarritz on April 3 went on sale in the French town today.
They will also be available at the venue in San Sebastian from Thursday.
Munster expect to take delivery of their 8,000 or so allocation in the coming days.
There are five price categories, €50, €40, €35, €25 and €15.
