Dublin gardaí defer planned boycott of dilapidated station

Gardaí in the Finglas area of Dublin have reportedly deferred a planned boycott of their dilapidated station.

The gardaí were planning to refuse to report for duty at the station in protest at the condition of the building.

They said they would instead show up for work at other nearby stations.

However, reports this morning said they had now deferred the planned action after receiving assurances that a site for a new station will be zoned within four months.
