LUAS trams expected to carry 20 million passengers this year
28/02/2005 - 12:25:45The Railway Procurement Agency has predicted that Dublin's LUAS system will carry 20 million passengers this year.
The agency said the tram system had already carried 6.5 million people since its launch last year.
It said many of these people were deciding to use the LUAS instead of buses, but thousands of motorists had also decided to leave their cars at home and use the tram instead.
