Jay-Z to open education centre
24/02/2005 - 10:41:34Hip-hop star Jay-Z has announced plans to open an education centre in New York.
The rapper, whose real name is Shawn Carter, will open the S Carter
Academy in the spring, and will focus on music, sports and fashion, reports mtv.com.
Enrolment will begin next month. The centre will feature in a television commercial starring the rapper and basketball star Jamal Crawford promoting the facility for talented youngsters.
