Ógra FF calls for automatic voter registration

Ógra Fianna Fáil has called on the Government to introduce a system of automatic voter registration for 18 year olds.

The party's youth wing called for its introduction ahead of the Register of Electors for 2005 coming into force tomorrow.

Ógra FF said the Department for the Environment, Heritage and Local Government should work with the Department for Social and Family Affairs in introducing such a system.
