Islamic Jihad to maintain undeclared truce
12/02/2005 - 21:18:21The Palestinian militant group Islamic Jihad said today it would maintain an undeclared truce with Israel.
But the group has not yet decided whether to accept the official ceasefire Palestinian leader Mahmoud Abbas declared earlier this week in Egypt.
The Hamas militant group issued a similar statement earlier in the day.
Leaders of both groups met today with Abbas, who is trying to keep the fragile ceasefire intact.
