Sinead O’Connor planning comeback
Singer Sinéad O'Connor has revealed that she is planning to come out of retirement after giving up music two years ago due disillusionment with the industry and media coverage of her life.
The controversial star, who is probably most famous for ripping up a picture of the Pope on live television, told Hot Press magazine she was planning an appearance on stage with the McPeakes family in Belfast in the coming months.
She also said she was working on material for three different records aimed "at a more spiritualised market".
O'Connor, who claimed she was tired of being famous back in 2003, is also believed to be negotiating a management and record deal with New York-based Sanctuary Records.
In a Hot Press interview, the singer said she was suffering from a debilitating fatigue illness called fibromyalgia at the time of her retirement two years ago and also wanted to devote more time to her three children.
