Courtney Love gets probation

Courtney Love has been sentenced to three years probation for attacking a woman with a torch and a liquor bottle.

The 40-year-old former Hole star was in court in Los Angeles yesterday facing felony charges stemming from a April 25 incident at the Beverly Hills home of the rocker's ex-boyfriend.

Love allegedly found a 32-year-old woman sleeping on a sofa and threw a liquor bottle at her and chased her with a flashlight.

In a separate case, Love was handed another 18-month probation on a drug possession charge.
