SFA welcomes bank charges survey

The Director of the Small Firms Association, Pat Delaney has welcomed the results of the IFSRA survey of bank charges for individual customers.

The SFA said the survey highlights the importance of regulating bank charges under the Consumer Credit Act.

Mr Delaney said the major banks must introduce an independently-monitored code of practice to allow easier switching of items like bank accounts, direct debits and standing orders.
