40,000 letters destroyed in post van fire
10/02/2005 - 12:04:33Forty thousand pieces of mail posted in Kildare and west Wicklow yesterday have been destroyed in a fire.
The blaze broke out in a delivery van while the letters were being taken to Portlaoise for sorting last night.
An Post has promised to do its best to inform all customers affected by the incident.
