ISEQ up on back of financials
09/02/2005 - 12:19:14The ISEQ saw upward movement of 43.37 points to 6640.75 today, largely on the back of strong performances in the financials.
AIB was up 23c to €15.70, Bank of Ireland rose 24 c to €12.57 and Anglo Irish Bank was up 15c to €19.10.
Irish Life and Permanent was up 13c to €14.03.
Elan fell 25c to €21.30 after the Athlone-headquartered pharmaceutical company announced it had agreed to pay $15m (€22m) to settle charges made by the US Securities and Exchange Commission that it misled investors.
