Oil truck accident disrupts traffic on Monasterevin by-pass
08/02/2005 - 11:24:01Motorists have been advised to expected significant delays on the Monasterevin by-pass in Co Kildare for much of today following an accident involving an oil truck.
The truck overturned on the dual carriageway at around 9am, forcing the closure of the south-bound lane.
Motorists have been warned to expect delays on the road until late this afternoon.
Gardaí, meanwhile, are searching for the driver of the truck, who fled the scene after the accident, despite apparently suffering head injuries.
