Clapton a dad again
03/02/2005 - 09:03:20Guitar legend Eric Clapton is celebrating after becoming a dad for the fifth time - at the age of 59.
The Layla star - whose four-year-old son Conor tragically died in 1991 after falling from a New York skyscraper - was present when his wife Melia, 29, gave birth to a baby girl in a London hospital on Tuesday.
A source confirms: "Baby and mother are doing well."
Clapton and his spouse still haven't decided on a name for their newborn daughter, according to reports.
The couple have two other daughters - Julie Rose, three, and two-year-old Ella Rae - while Clapton is also father to 19-year-old Ruth, by his ex-girlfriend Yvonne Kelly.
Tragic Conor was the product of his relationship with Italian actress Lori del Santo.
