Gardaí planning to measure performance in different divisions

An Garda Siochána is reportedly planning to measure and compare the performance of officers in different divisions of the force.

Reports this morning said the plan formed part of the Garda’s corporate strategy for the next three years.

The strategy reportedly identifies improving public confidence in the force as one of its main goals between now and 2007.

Other goals include an improvement in public order and more effective traffic management.
