Reid on way to Saints
29/01/2005 - 15:13:01Nottingham Forest today agreed to sell Republic of Ireland midfielder Andy Reid to Southampton in a cash-plus-players deal.
The Championship strugglers announced that a bid in excess of £3m (€4.3m) has been accepted for the 22-year-old.
Two Saints players, whose identities have yet to be disclosed, will also join Forest as part of the deal.
Reid had been repeatedly linked to Tottenham, but they have not matched Forest’s valuation of the left-footed playmaker.
