Omagh victim's husband distressed at Murphy release
28/01/2005 - 14:09:39The husband of one of the victims of the Omagh bombing has been speaking of his distress after Colm Murphy was released on bail today after his conviction for taking part in the attack was quashed last week.
Laurence Rushe's wife Libby was one of the 29 people killed in the 1998 atrocity.
He criticised the process in Ireland of bringing those responsible to justice.
"This process has been dragging on and on. We go across to other countries - Britain and places like that - where these kinds of people are caught within three/four/five months, but this has gone on for six or seven years and we’re still waiting for a breakthrough," he said.
