Elderly female pedestrian killed in Offaly accident

Gardaí in Co Offaly are investigating a fatal accident last night in which an elderly female pedestrian was killed after she was hit by a car.

The accident happened on the main Roscrea Road, in Birr, just before 9pm.

The woman's body was removed from the scene to Tullamore General Hospital
