Migrant workers 'being denied rights on building sites'

The rights of migrant workers are being abused on building sites, according to the trade union BATU.

Polish and Lithuanian workers are being paid well below the minimum wage of €7 an hour and are being made work in excess of 39 hours a week, the union claims.

Spokesman for the union Brendan O'Sullivan said the language barrier is preventing many workers from speaking up.
