Defence Forces team departs on Sri Lanka relief mission
17/01/2005 - 07:42:18A four-strong team from the Irish Defence Forces is travelling to Sri Lanka this morning to help relief efforts following the St Stephen's Day tsunami disaster.
The team, which will be based in Colombo, will help in the co-ordination and distribution of aid under the auspices of the United Nations.
The team is made up of two transport and logistics experts and two structural engineering experts.
