Prisoner escapes while being treated at Dublin hospital
07/01/2005 - 07:58:27Gardaí in Dublin are searching for prisoner who escaped his guards after being taken to St James' Hospital for treatment yesterday evening.
The 26-year-old Dubliner had been brought to the hospital from Portlaoise Prison, where he was nearing the end of a sentence for drug-related offences and robbery.
He managed to flee from his escort at around 6pm yesterday and remains at large this morning.
