Cork: Search continues for missing 11-year-old
The search for an 11-year-old boy who has been missing in Co Cork since earlier this week is entering its third day this morning.
Robert Holohan was last seen leaving his home in Midleton on Tuesday evening.
The bicycle he received as a Christmas present was found in a ditch around a half mile from the house a short time later, but there was no sign of the youngster.
Gardaí revealed yesterday that he had made a call from his mobile phone to a girl who lives nearby on the afternoon of his disappearance before his credit ran out.
The phone has been diverting to message-minder since then.
Fears for the safety of the 11-year-old have been increasing in the past few days as a massive search operation has failed to find any trace of the boy.
His mother, Majella Holohan, has appealed to anyone who may have abducted her son to release him.
