Pigsback.com forges ahead with UK venture
Pigsback.com's parent company Empathy Marketing Limited today announced profits in the region of €500,000 for 2004.
The company reported strong revenue growth to over €3m for the year to December 31, 2004. The growth in revenues was largely accounted for by the increased activity levels by consumers on the Pigsback.com website, along with an increase in spend on the medium by brand partners.
The company, which employs 32 people, plans to press ahead in spring 2005 with a roll-out in the UK and has already opened offices in London to facilitate this move.
"We continue to be very encouraged by the reaction of Irish consumers and by top national and international brands to the marketing solutions offered by the Pigsback.com model,” said Michael Dwyer, chief executive, Pigsback.com.
In the recent JNIR (Joint National Internet Research), Pigsback.com has moved from the 11th most visited site in Ireland to 6th place with over 169,000 people having used the service over the last six months.
