Kuqi completes Birmingham deal
30/12/2004 - 14:20:39Birmingham have completed the signing of Finland Under-21 striker Njazi Kuqi.
City agreed a deal for around £400,000 (€564,763) with FC Lahti for the player earlier this season and he has signed a two-and-a-half year deal.
The 21-year-old brother of Ipswich forward Shefki has been training under manager Steve Bruce for more than a month after initially coming to England on trial.
Blues will have to wait until international clearance is received before Kuqi is allowed to make his debut, and expect to get the all-clear next week.
Kuqi will wear the number 14 shirt, vacated by Stern John who moved to Coventry earlier this season.
Youngster Neil Kilkenny has had his loan at Oldham extended until the end of the season.
