Urban bought by legend JP
24/12/2004 - 08:54:49Urban, who is unbeaten in two starts over hurdles, has been bought by JP McManus.
The three-year-old has recorded two impressive successes so far for trainer Joe Crowley and he is due to run in the Durkan New Homes Juvenile Hurdle at Leopardstown on Sunday.
Urban will now carry the McManus colours in that race after he completed the purchase of the gelding from Ann Marie O’Brien yesterday.
Frank Berry, McManus’s racing manager, told the Racing Post: “The final details of the deal were only tied down on Thursday morning and Urban will be running for JP on Sunday.”
