La Manga sold for €145m
24/12/2004 - 07:49:49Spanish holiday resort La Manga, made famous as a training camp for soccer sides including the England football team, has been sold for €145m.
The 1,220-acre sports and leisure complex, close to Murcia south of Alicante, was owned by shipping giant P&O. It has now been sold to Spanish leisure and property company MedGroup.
La Manga includes hotel and apartment accommodation as well as soccer, golf and tennis facilities, restaurants, bars, shops and a casino.
