Govt allocates €1m to special needs schools
22/12/2004 - 09:07:33The Department of Education has a funding allocation of more than €1m to improve facilities in schools for special needs students.
Education Minister Mary Hanafin said the money would be spent in special schools and in mainstream schools that run special classes and autism classes.
She said €600,000 would be spent on small capital works, with the remainder of the money going towards the provision of equipment.
