SFA investigate Old Firm duo
The Scottish Football Association have confirmed they will investigate incidents involving Henri Camara and Nacho Novo following Saturday’s Old Firm game.
The SFA will refer both incidents to their review panel to decide whether either player has a case to answer.
Celtic striker Camara could find himself with a retrospective ban after appearing to stamp on Gregory Vignal during a bad-tempered game, which also saw team-mates Alan Thompson and Chris Sutton red-carded.
Rangers hitman Novo was only given the green-light to play in the game 24 hours earlier following a successful appeal to have his red card for an off-the-ball kick at Hibernian’s Craig Rocastle reduced to a yellow.
But he could find himself in trouble with the SFA for stamping on Stephen Pearson’s neck, while the Celtic player lay on the ground.
Pearson has already put the incident down to nothing more than an accident but the Review Panel will decide whether further investigation is required.
Both incidents will be examined by the three members of the review panel - consisting of a former player, a former manager and a former referee, whose names will not be made public.
If they decide no further action is to be taken then the case will be dropped, but if they decide there is a case to answer the matter will be referred to the disciplinary committee.
Their next meeting is on December 14.
