West Ham sign Taricco from Spurs
19/11/2004 - 11:05:32West Ham have signed defender Mauricio Taricco on a free transfer from Tottenham.
The Argentinian left-back, who started his career in England with Ipswich, goes straight into the Hammers’ squad for their Championship clash at Millwall on Sunday.
Manager Alan Pardew said: “He’s a proper West Ham player. He has a bit of grit, he’s a winner, and I’ve been after him for a while.”
Pardew is also hoping to complete a loan move for Crystal Palace defender Darren Powell in time for him to face the Lions.
