Wrexham handed two-week stay of execution
17/11/2004 - 14:00:58Wrexham have been given a stay of execution after the High Court in England granted the club more time to solve their financial problems.
However, the Coca-Cola League Two outfit have been given just two weeks to sort out the crisis or face a winding-up order.
The 132-year-old club, the oldest in Wales, owe around £900,000 (€1.2m) in unpaid tax, while owner Alex Hamilton has refused to accept a takeover bid fronted by former chairman Mark Guterman.
“The High Court adjourned the winding-up order until December 3,” said a spokeswoman for the Wrexham County Borough Council.
