Two arrested in relation to Rachel O’Reilly murder

A man and a woman have been arrested in separate locations in Dublin in connection with the murder of Rachel O’Reilly.

The body of the 30-year-old mother-of-two was discovered at her home in Naul, north Co Dublin on October 4.

A post mortem showed she died from multiple blows to the head.

A man was taken into custody in the Ballyfermot area of the city at 10am and is being held at Balbriggan Garda station.

The woman was arrested in the south Dublin area and has been taken to Drogheda station.

Both are being held under Section 30 of the Offences Against the State Act, and can be held without charge for up to 72 hours.
