Bomb thought to be behind Derry blast

Police in the North are investigating a suspected bomb explosion outside a house in Derry last night.

A woman who lived in the house reported hearing two loud bangs as she was going to bed.

Damage was caused to the front of the house and the family car.

Her children - a three-year-old boy, 16-year-old girl and 17-year-old boy - were asleep.

No one was injured, and no motive has yet been established.
