West Brom v Middlesbrough teams
Hawthorns hero Bryan Robson begins his reign as West Brom’s new boss against the side he managed for almost seven years.
Robson’s return to the club he served as a player in the 1970s coincides with the visit of a Middlesbrough side seeking to get back to winning ways after losing their grip on the Carling Cup midweek.
Robson makes only one change to the side which gained a creditable draw at Southampton last week, with Romanian Cosmin Contra given his first Premiership start in place of Paul Robinson.
Boro boss Steve McClaren makes six changes following the loss at Liverpool, with Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Ray Parlour and goalkeeper Mark Schwarzer among those returning to the starting line-up.
West Brom: Hoult, Scimeca, Moore, Purse, Clement, Gera, Johnson, Greening, Contra, Earnshaw, Kanu. Subs: Gaardsoe, Koumas, Horsfield, Hulse, Kuszczak.
Middlesbrough: Schwarzer, McMahon, Riggott, Southgate, Queudrue, Parlour, Boateng, Zenden, Downing, Hasselbaink, Viduka. Subs: Nash, Job, Doriva, Cooper, Morrison.
Referee: S Dunn (Gloucestershire)
