Harris and Heary out of Longford clash

21/10/2004 - 18:49:49
Shelbourne defensive duo Jamie Harris and Owen Heary have each picked up a one-match ban in the latest round of suspensions issued by the eircom League's disciplinary commission.

Both players will miss the November 6 visit to Longford Town, the league leaders' scheduled third-last game of the season, after Harris reached four penalty points and Heary hit the eight penalty point mark.

Their hosts at Flancare Park that night will also be without a couple of players as defender Alan Murphy and striker Paul Keegan also earned one-match bans.

The combative Murphy, who was also sent off last weekend against Shamrock Rovers, has reached eight points while Keegan has collected four.

Another club that will miss two players that weekend will be Derry City.

Mark Farren and Gareth McGlynn will be unavailable for the long trip south to Cork City on Friday, November 5 after both clocked up four points.

St Patrick's Athletic striker Robbie Doyle will miss the trip to Waterford on November 5 after reaching four points while defender Stephen Rice of Bohemians serves a one-match ban for the same reason and will have to sit out the derby with Shamrock Rovers at Tolka Park the same night.
