Ark impresses on seasonal debut
21/10/2004 - 18:32:05Roman Ark was unable to cope with Shuhood at Haydock Park today but there was plenty to like about his seasonal debut.
He was in fact having his first outing since March when, at Newcastle, he beat all but the smart Kasthari, who went on to show he is class on the Flat too when lifting the Doncaster Cup at Doncaster last month.
Today’s outing was only the fourth of Roman Ark’s life and he stayed on well in the closing stages of this two-mile test to finish a clear second-best and, with chasing likely to be his game, he is one to keep in mind.
