Kerry on top of All Star list
All-Ireland champions Kerry dominate the 2004 Vodafone football All Star shortlist, with 12 nominations.
All the players who started last month's final against Mayo are nominated, with the exception of Aidan O’Mahony, Liam Hassett and John Crowley.
Seamus Moynihan, Darragh Ó Sé and Mike Frank Russell miss out.
Championship surprise package Fermanagh are next in terms of nominations, with seven.
All-Ireland finalists and Connacht champions Mayo have five nominations, including centre-forward Kieran McDonald and star attacker Trevor Mortimer, whose brother Conor missed the cut.
Leinster champs Westmeath have five players nominated, while Ulster winners Armagh have three representatives. Fellow northerners Tyrone and Derry also garnered three nominations.
Only four of last year's All Star team make the list this year: Francie Bellew, Joe Higgins, Tom Kelly and Sean Cavanagh.
Munster finalists Limerick have defender Conor Mullane and midfielder John Galvin up for an award, Wexford's Mattie Forde was picked for the shortlist and Padraic Joyce and Jason Sherlock are the sole nominees for giants Galway and Dublin.
The All Star team will be chosen next month and the awards will be presented on November 26.
