Falcon ruled out of Kempton
20/10/2004 - 16:35:04Dual Christmas Hurdle winner Intersky Falcon will miss his intended seasonal debut in the RHT 40th Anniversary Hurdle at Kempton Park on Saturday.
Trainer Jonjo O’Neill admitted today that the seven-year-old had worked “flat” on Wednesday morning.
“He won’t run, because he worked a bit flat today. I don’t know why, but he’s not worked like the horse we know he can be,” he said.
The Polar Falcon gelding, who won two Grade One events last season, is not the only concern for the Jackdaws Castle yard.
O’Neill added: “We have one or two who have worked a bit flat. It’s disappointing, but we’ll have to see how he is before making any decisions.”
