B&Q begins recruitment drive for new Cork store
18/10/2004 - 11:14:20The DIY retailer B&Q has launched a drive to recruit staff for its planned new outlet in Cork city.
The company said it was hoping to hire 90 full- and part-time employees to work at the store in Mahon Point, which is due to open next March.
The Mahon Point outlet is B&Q's first Irish retail operation outside of Dublin. The opening of the store will bring the company's workforce in Ireland to 700.
B&Q said today that it was also hoping to hire a further 1,000 workers as part of an expansion plan over the next four years.
