Department of Health to print shock images on cigarette packs
17/10/2004 - 10:34:23Disturbing images showing dying patients to be printed on cigarette packs are to be published by the European Commission this week.
The warnings, which are being provided for all EU member states, show premature babies on ventilators, diseased hearts and people dying from lung cancer .
A spokesperson for the Department of Health said they will be on packets here as soon as possible, while the British government said it will consult with the public on whether or not to use them.
