Sports Council facing questions over failure to fill FAI posts

Officials from the Irish Sports Council are due to be questioned by TDs and Senators today about the FAI's failure to implement a recommendation in the Genesis Report.

The Oireachtas public accounts committee is due to question John Treacy, the chief executive of the council, about the FAI's failure to create four new positions recommended in the report.

The FAI has already received public funding to create these positions and the public accounts committee wants Mr Treacy to explain the delay in filling the jobs.
