Blast rips through car in Gaza City

An explosion ripped through a car in Gaza City tonight.

It was not immediately known what caused the blast or whether there were casualties.

Israel has been sending helicopters to fire missiles at Gaza vehicles carrying Palestinian militants on almost a daily basis in recent weeks.

The Israeli military had no immediate comment.
