Coughlan looks set for City return
28/09/2004 - 15:39:30Derek Coughlan is set to to Cork City after returning to fitness from a long-term injury, it was reported today.
The former Irish U21 star, working his way back to fitness after a long-term groin injury. “I want to play for Cork for as long as possible…I’d like to commit myself to a two or even three year deal,” Coughlan told the Evening Echo newspaper.
Coughlan has been out of football for over eight months and his been out of contract this season.
He will sign on a part-time basis having met up with Pat Dolan and the City squad at a training camp.
