Martin unveils locations of Health Service offices
28/09/2004 - 16:04:06The Minister for Health, Micheál Martin, has announced the new locations for administration offices in the new Health Service Executive.
It formally comes into being next January.
The administrative offices will be based in Galway City, Cork City, Kells in Co Meath and Tullamore Co Offaly.
The Minister has stressed that these are not the headquarters of the new Health Board but will house the administrative offices of the Health Service Executive.
Minister Martin has said that these new offices will improve patient services and minimise disruption of staff working in existing locations.
Details were announced this afternoon at the Department of Health at what is expected to be Micheál Martin's last full engagement as Health Minister before the Cabinet reshuffle.
