Smith proud of I, Robot's story success
28/09/2004 - 14:51:21Hollywood actor Will Smith has explained the secret of how I, Robot became one of the smash hits of the summer - it had an "intriguing" story.
Smith, who has starred in a series of summer spectaculars including Independence Day, Men In Black and flop Wild Wild West, believes audiences in 2004 want more from action movies than expensive special effects.
He says: "In the past you could have just a lot of explosions and there's a successful movie.
"What we've had in I, Robot is a truly, deep, emotional and intriguing movie and then we layered in the special effects."
