Man attacked with hatchets and machetes in Dublin
04/08/2004 - 07:39:06A man was hospitalised yesterday after being attacked with hatchets and machetes at a post office in north Dublin.
The victim was chased from the car park into the post office in Finglas by up to six men.
They subsequently attacked him with hatchets and machetes, causing injuries to his hands and arms.
The incident took place at around 12.15pm in the Cappagh Post Office on the Cardiff Bridge Road.
The attackers fled the scene in two waiting cars.
Reports this morning said the attack was believed to have been part of a feud between two Traveller families living in the area.
