Stars named Andersen ambassadors
04/08/2004 - 16:13:41Liz Hurley and David Frost were among seven celebrities named goodwill ambassadors for the Hans Christian Andersen bi-centennial celebrations.
Norwegian Crown Prince Frederik and his wife, Australian-born Crown Princess Mary will appoint the celebrities during a ceremony on September 15 at the British Library in London.
The other ambassadors include authors Antonia Byatt and Michael Morpurgo, Andersen biographer Jackie Wullschlager and television producer Sandi Toksvig.
The seven are helping increase awareness of the famed fairy tale writer ahead of celebrations marking his 200th birthday in 2005.
