Man killed in 'domestic row'

Murder squad detectives were called in today after a man was stabbed at a flat near Belfast.

The victim, aged 47, is understood to have suffered at least one wound.

Police believe he may have died as the result of a domestic row.

He was found in the Rathcoole area of Newtownabbey on the northern outskirts of the city.

Police and an ambulance were called to the scene last night and made the discovery.

A police spokeswoman said today: “Following the results of a post mortem examination police are now treating the death as murder.”
