Brinks Allied workers go on strike over new security vans

Workers at Brinks Allied have gone on strike over the introduction of new security vans, according to unconfirmed reports this morning.

The staff are believed to have downed tools due to concerns about new Dutch vans being introduced in an effort to combat a spate of armed raids so far this year.

Brinks Allied is one of Ireland’s main security operators for cash transits and it is feared that the industrial action could affect ATMs in Dublin and other parts of the country over the bank holiday weekend.
